Chief Bement began his career in emergency services in the early 2000's in Alaska and then moved to Spokane Washington where he continued on his career path to Deputy Fire Chief - Operations at Airway Heights & Battalion Chief at neighboring Spokane County Fire District 10, He was a EMS Paramedic Supervisor for American Medical Response, Chief Bement served Spokane County Emergency Services for nearly 20 years prior to coming to lead the Tillamook Fire District.  Chief Bement holds a Master's Degree in Public Service Administration and Emergency Management; Columbia Southern University, Bachelor's Degree in Fire Administration and Associate's in Fire Science.
